Cheech and Groom
For my last design assignment, I wanted to do my part to help make Professor Groom famous. The assignment I chose for this was called “Professor Groom Poster”. The idea was to create a poster, as stated, to make Groom more famous than ever. This poster should surely do that!
Cheech and Chong’s “Up In Smoke” has always been one of my favorite movies. Easily one of the funniest movies ever.
The details of the assignment were:
- Pick a scene from your favorite movie
- Cut a picture of Groom’s head out and place it on the picture of said scene
- Upload to Flickr
First, I found this shot of Cheech and Chong in Cheech’s car, and it was black and white so I had to find a black and white shot of Groom, which I actually found searching Google images. I opened the Cheech photo in GIMP, then opened the groom photo as a layer. I cut out Professor Grooms head and under the colors tab selected, “Color to Alpha” to blend it into the photo. Hope you like! I hope Groom gets a laugh out of this too!
