Readings

This weeks reading were long and tedious but at the end of the day i enjoyed them a lot. They all helped me understand noir better. I know that we were previously warned but I was still extremely shocked of the graphic material in most of these. Not in an immature aspect but thinking that in today’s society this way of writing is frowned-upon. The use of the N word extremely shocked me and a lot of the material in the Wild Party was definitely out of its time. I am interested in reading some more modern noir to see if how the ways of writing has changed.

These kinds of readings are nothing like what I am usually interested in but I am slowly gaining interest and knowledge in this topic. I am also very interested in how far we can take this subject.
