Personal Introduction
Hello to Professor Bond, Professor Groom, Professor Burtis, and the rest of the Digital Storytelling 106 community. My name is Ben Brady and this is my introduction to all those who will be taking part in this class.
I’m a senior majoring in math and minoring in computer science. This class is the only class I’m taking this semester that does not fall into one of the disciplines mentioned above, so it will be a nice change of pace.
Ready to get things started in Digital Storytelling 106. Glad to be taking a course that's not math or computer science. #ds106

I’ve never registered for a Twitter account before, so the tweet above is my first. I’ve actually never used any of the social media sites that we’ll be using in this class, so all of this is very new to me.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a webcam just yet. The holidays and textbook shopping wiped out my bank account. I worked over the weekend though, so I’ll be able to make that purchase this week in order to be ready for upcoming assignments.
I was worried that I would have an issue with the SoundCloud introduction since I don’t have a microphone for my computer, but I was glad to see that I could use my iPhone to upload a short audio clip.
When setting up my Flickr account, I uploaded five of the favorite pictures that I’ve personally taken. Here are a couple of them:
This picture was taken at the high point of a hike I went on in Glacier National Park in Montana.
From the same hike, here’s a marmot that my sister and I saw up close while hiking down from the peak.
That finishes up my introductions for Digital Storytelling 106.
