Week Two: A Mess In Review
This week, I did some noir reading, blog editing, and creative writing. I only did two daily creates (1) (2), which was an oversight on my part due both to procrastination and a misread of the weekly post. Looking back, I realize that I really should have budgeted my time better. That’s my new-week resolution for next week. Anyway, here’s a summary of my posts!
Noir Readings
I read a few noir-style works, including The Wild Party, The Postman Always Rings Twice, and The Death Triangle. I posted a summary of my thoughts on the readings on my blog.
Site Editing
This part was pretty easy because I had already installed a custom theme. I also installed some swanky plugins:
I also made a short “about” page.
Creative Writing
This section is comprised of several parts. First, I created a character dossier describing Ami Turay, a modern-day femme fatale. Next, I wrote an alternative ending to The Wild Party. Then, using my character as inspiration, I made a poem out of trending topics on Twitter. Finally, I made a haiku describing a simple chicken recipe.
