I never realized noir was a genre or a name given to films or anything like that, so I’m really excited about this course because I love everything associated with what noir is all about.
I will admit, getting started on all of this blogging stuff was very frustrating and I definitely didn’t think I’d have as much trouble with it as I did, but now that I understand how to do everything, I’m actually enjoying it.
I really enjoyed watching the clips and reading, especially, Nightmare Town, the short story by Dashiell Hammett. Reading that made me realize that I am really going to enjoy being in this class and having it centered around noir.
But you wanna know what grinds my gears? Going through this whole process, I had many tabs open on my browser, and I can’t even count how many times I closed a tab I didn’t mean to and had to go back through the whole process of getting to the page again. >:( I did that especially a lot with the instructions of what to do for this week and that was a major pain in my neck!
I really enjoyed getting to make this blog because I’ve never had a blog before but I feel like it’s a nice way to jot my feelings and thoughts down in a written way. I’m a person who feels a lot and being able to get my feelings written out is a great stress reliever.
I also enjoyed getting to know more about noir and getting accustomed to everything that I’m going to have to learn how to use in this course. I think it’s going to be very helpful for me and I can’t wait to learn more about noir and about what my computer can do!
Below is a song that I’m trying to learn on piano that has a little twist on it that’s not heard on the radio. I just thought I’d share.
Until next time, my friends.
